Recap: Global Trade Forum – Doing Business in Africa

On Monday, November 18th, the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce (MCCC), U.S. Export Assistance Center- U.S. Department of Commerce, Montgomery County Department of Economic Development, Maryland Department of Business & Economic Development, Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation- Africa Trade Office, Johns Hopkins University, U.S. Small Business Administration, and Washington Metropolitan Area District Office hosted a Global Trade Forum that discussed international trade opportunities in Africa.

Welcome remarks were made by Gigi Godwin, President and CEO, Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.  A distinguished keynote presentation was given by Deputy Assistant Secretary for Domestic Operations, United States Department of Commerce, Antwaun Griffin.

The forum included three panel discussions, key sector and track break-out sessions and exhibitors from African Embassies and other subject matter experts.
